  1. Sore Ankles can be caused by too much pressure on the ankle bones which can be due to the skate or other problems which can develop while skating.  This can develop even after you have used the skates for a period of time.
  2. Sore Toes can be caused by foot movement from too narrow of a skate and these.  Problems can be solved with boot adjustment.
  3. Sore Bunions can be caused by too much pressure around the ball of the foot.  Some people have hereditary bunions and must be sure to take proper procedures while being fitted to eliminate any undo pressure at that point.
  4. Skaters develop bumps on the back of the heels due to up and down movement during each stride while skating. It starts with blisters than after a period of time the heel forms a callous buildup, in some cases a bone spur will develop. If you are having this problem there are different solutions to solve the problem.
  5. Skaters with Flat feet have difficulty at times becoming comfortable in their skates. Skates are constructed with high arches and they do not match up with the skater’s feet causing cramping and discomfort. Skaters without flat feet can also have sore arches due to the fact that their arch doesn’t line up with the arch of the skate. If you are having this problem there are different solutions to solve the problem.
  6. Some skaters may experience sore upper leg problems or blistering around the back of the leg as the boot rubs the skaters leg while skating.  Another upper leg problem is tenderness in front of the leg just above the leg during each skating stride. If you are having this problem there are different solution to solve the problem.
  7. Blisters are caused by abrasion due to foot movement. There are many ways to solve movement problems in different areas of the boot.  If you are blistering in more than one part of the boot you may want to check out the size of your boot.

  • Saturdays we are open from 9am until 4pm.
  • For a professional fitting please call ahead as it may take up to an hour for a proper fit.  For a competetive sharpening you will also want to call ahead.
